To interpret national policy to support the development and implementation of the Trust’s Membership Strategy, Membership Recruitment Plan and Membership Communication Plans.
Provides advice and support to Trust committees, working groups and other bodies as may be assigned.
Liaise with NHS Providers Membership Network to ensure the Trust remains up to date and aligned with national developments
Membership
- Responsible for the delivery of membership function of the Trust, including the delivery of a membership strategy and the implementation of engagement plans.
- Develop and maintain the continuing work plan for the Membership Recruitment and Engagement Working Group to facilitate and support the development and implementation of an effective membership recruitment and engagement strategy.
- Responsible for the election processes for public, patient and staff representatives to the Council of Governors, including ensuring statutory and constitutional requirements are met in the conduct of contested and non-contested elections.
- Be the first and main point of contact for circa 10,000 Trust Members and all service users, carers or members of the general public and Governors.
- Ensure that concerns and enquiries from the members about services are subject to robust investigation and responded to appropriately.
- Use advanced communication skills to communicate complex and sensitive information in situations which may be contentious or hostile.
