PURPOSE
As People & Culture Manager at ACT, you will play a key role in shaping and nurturing a high-performance, values driven culture that empowers our people and drives our business success. You will lead on strategic and operational HR initiatives, including employee relations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, wellbeing and organisational development.
You will act as a trusted partner to leadership and management teams, ensuring HR practices are aligned with ACT’s mission, vision and growth strategy.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- A Level 5 CIPD qualification is a must, with a Level 7 CIPD qualification considered desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of People management (as opposed to traditional HR functions).
- Proven ability to manage and lead a People team, overseeing talent acquisition and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of people systems and how to leverage them to improve team performance and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex ER cases and provide practical solutions in line with company policies
- and employment law.
- A solid understanding of creating and implementing strategies that align with the company’s vision, culture, and values.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with the Senior Team to align and implement the company’s vision and strategy, ensuring the people agenda supports organisational goals.
- Manage and oversee people systems, ensuring they are up-to-date, efficient, and fully integrated with the business.
- Provide guidance on people policies and support the development and implementation of best practices across the business.
- Drive initiatives to attract and retain top talent, ensuring ACT remains an employer of choice.
