We are seeking a new Learning and Development Officer to join our IfG Academy team.
Permanent position, starting in September 2025
London, UK (Hybrid working)
Salary: £30,000–£39,000 p.a. + benefits

About the role:
The IfG Academy brings together the Institute’s expertise on government into practical training and support. Working with the rest of the Academy team, you will be delivering high quality online, in person and hybrid workshops for those working in government seeking to improve it, and those outside government seeking to understand and engage with government.
With a strong interest in value of learning and development and in the IfG’s mission to improve government effectiveness, you will be enthused by the opportunity to present and deliver engaging, interactive workshops to different audiences. You will have knowledge and experience of UK government and policy making – for example from a previous role working in or with government.
Key Responsibilities:
You will have excellent team working skills, be able to collaborate collegiately and creatively with colleagues to prepare for and deliver training. You will enjoy building rapport and working with participants and clients. Above all, you will have a strong enthusiasm for the opportunity learning and development provides for taking a creative and hands-on approach to improving government. As part of our fantastic team you would work in a fun, stimulating and challenging environment at the heart of Westminster.
