In Our South Oxon CAMHS Getting Help Team we are proud to be developing a needs-led, responsive and accessible service based on the Thrive Model.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to work in our 'Getting Help' Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team (CAMHS) and make a real difference to the lives of young people that are referred.
You will be working as part of a multi disciplinary team, consisting of Nurses, Social workers, Occupational therapists, Family therapists, Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatrists, with plenty of opportunity for sharing skills and knowledge. You'll be able to access supervision and training to support you in this role. we offer individual and peer supervision, along with regular reflective space.
You will take part in the Getting Help/Getting More Help CAMHS Duty system, responding to, offering support and signposting to concerned young people, families and professionals when there has been a change in presentation or risk, whilst open to the service or on the waiting list. Participate in clinical meetings, case conferences, reviews, strategy meetings, CETRs and other professional meetings as appropriate. To participate in meetings and mitigation calls relevant to service provision.
You will deliver generic mental health assessments, risk assessments and interventions for children and young people and families open to the Getting Help team. Depending on the needs of the young person, this could be using professional skills including CBT, DBT, and systemic work.
