The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is the governing and regulatory body for horseracing in Great Britain. It is the BHA’s role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, with a key objective being to ensure the highest standards apply on and away from the racecourse.
The BHA is looking to recruit a Diversity and Inclusion Project Manager to coordinate the delivery of key industry initiatives that advance diversity and inclusion within British horseracing, as outlined in the Our People, Racing’s Future workforce strategy and the Industry D&I Strategy currently in development.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the diversity and inclusion space in one of Britain’s most attended sports.
The industry D&I strategy work is being led by the BHA, on behalf of and in collaboration with all those involved with the racing industry, and is a key enabler for the whole industry strategy. From areas like the sport’s leadership and governance, to the needs of racing’s people, and attracting the next generation of diverse customers – collective action is needed to grow the industry.
We are looking for an excellent communicator who is effective and efficient in planning and coordinating project delivery on time and to budget. Your experience is likely to have come from a project management background, ideally coupled with experience of working in the diversity and inclusion space.
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong team player and have experience of running complex and cross-functional projects and you are able to establish credibility and rapport with multiple stakeholders across various different business areas. You are problem solver who is able to think creatively to provide effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
