Business Development & Investor Relations
In 2017, Mubadala Capital brought third-party investors onto its platform for the first time. Prior to this, all investments had been made entirely from the balance sheet on behalf of Mubadala, Mubadala Capital’s corporate parent. The private equity strategy was the first to attract external investors. This has now been followed by a Brazil-focused fund series, a venture capital business focused on technology and healthcare investing in the US and Europe, as well as the newest business, Mubadala Capital Solutions, a Fund of Funds that manages a permanent capital vehicle along with a series of SMAs.
The Business Development & Investor Relations team oversees all aspects of capital raising and investor relations across all strategies. Today the team is comprised of 16 individuals; 6 based in New York, 6 in London and 4 in Abu Dhabi. The team has built a strong investor relations function and is currently growing its sales and distribution capability with a global remit covering multiple asset classes and investment strategies.
