Signet are supporting a globally recognised Law firm with the hire of a UK DEI Manager into their team. This established Global DEI team consists of a team of 14 DEI professionals reporting to the Global Managing Partner for DEI. The UK DEI Manager role sits within the EMEA team of five; the Head of DEI EMEA is based in London and supported by the team here.
In this role, you will be:
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders including the UK leadership team, DEI Partner sponsors and advocates
- Partnering with teams across the firm to support delivery of UK DEI strategy
- Rolling out of the global DEI education in the region
- Managing external partnerships
- Liaison with employee networks; managing budgets, supporting programme design and delivery, building opportunities for collaboration, promoting opportunities across the firm
- Producing internal and external reports to monitor progress against global goals
- Delivering training on DEI concepts
- Presenting to vacation scheme students, trainees, and at other open days/ad hoc events to support widening participation activities
- Manage the EMEA DEI Coordinator based in London and responsible for preparing and monitoring UK DEI budget
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Previous DEI experience is essential; two years of which at management level
- Prior experience in the legal sector is not required, however you should be able to demonstrate some knowledge of the challenges of working in a partnership environment
- D&I certificate/ qualification or another significant D&I credential is desirable
