As a HubSpot Academy Learning and Development Specialist, you’ll collaborate with all HubSpot Academy team members to strengthen their instructional design, curriculum development, and facilitation skills. You’ll be responsible for and maintain the best practices and documentation for our learning methodologies and processes. With your support and guidance, the HubSpot Academy team will continue to create world-class educational content and experiences.
The ideal candidate is a learning & development professional, teacher, or corporate trainer with 2-5 years of teaching experience. In this role, you will be collaborating with 20+ global content creators (inbound professors) to scale our 500+ asset library of educational content ranging from industry strategies to HubSpot-specific topics.
In This Role You’ll Get To
- Work collaboratively with HubSpot Academy team members to improve their instructional design, curriculum development, and facilitation skills.
- Review learning experience assets including learning outcomes, objectives, assessments, and overall structure.
- Update and maintain documentation and resources on instructional design best practices for internal and external use.
- Support delivery of team enablement resources and training sessions.
- Provide one-on-one and one-to-many learning & development support for the HubSpot Academy team.
- Participate in content creation planning meetings to support the conceptualization and execution of learning experiences.
You’ll be successful in this role if you have:
- 2-5 years of teaching, instructional design, or curriculum design experience required.
- A passion for mentoring and supporting others in the content creation process.
- Experience designing, developing, and evaluating multiple types of learning assessments.
- Experience developing and evaluating learning outcomes and objectives.
- The ability to analyze and report on learning experiences and assessments.
- A deep passion for continued learning and creating an exceptional experience for Academy learners.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail.
- The ability to work and build relationships with stakeholders of all levels.
- The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work autonomously.
- The ability to work through and manage ambiguity.
Cash compensation range: 70000-105000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
