Your new role The global Life Sciences market, valued at €2.8 trillion, is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 10-15% over the next 5 years. This presents a significant opportunity across Hays’ global footprint, aligning with our strategic goals. The market offers high-value, contract, and annuity revenue opportunities, with substantial existing relationships to leverage. Current net fee income is approximately £50 million, with considerable potential for growth. This role is equally divided between external activities and building internal expertise. External (50%) Relationship Building: Develop and leverage ‘C’ and ‘D’ level relationships in key and focus countries. Pipeline Development : Utilize your network to create a pipeline of opportunities. Client Engagement: Support the broader business in client engagement and sales conversion. Industry Presence : Attend and speak at relevant industry events. Networking: Participate in network associations and bodies. Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic partnerships. Educational Relationships: Establish relationships with relevant educational bodies. Content Creation: Create content to provide customer and candidate insights to drive engagement. Internal (50%) Strategic Planning: Design and execute the Life Sciences strategic plan. Sales Team Development: Upskill the Sales Team in Life Sciences and support market entry. Delivery Team Development: Upskill the Delivery Team in Life Sciences and support sourcing strategy. Performance Visibility: Ensure visibility of financial performance and KPIs for Life Sciences. Market Analysis: Track market indicators and support leadership in headcount allocation based on market opportunities. What you'll need to succeed We are looking for a strategic leader with the gravitas and experience to manage complex relationships globally within a matrix organisation. The ability to think ‘bigger picture’ with a curiosity and openness to new ideas that will grow a sustainable world leading Life Sciences business across the global Hays footprint. Additionally the successful candidate will possess: Experience working strategically within a recruitment agency within the US market and have worked across global markets within life sciences recruitment Proven track record in a senior leadership role, influencing and developing senior leaders Experience of having driven change and inspired others to adopt new ways Track record of using data and metrics to make insight-driven business decisions Experience setting up and scaling up global businesses within agency recruitment Subject matter expertise in Life Sciences and relevant service lines. From an individual level you will have a mature, calm and focussed demeanour. You will be an effective networker and collaborator. It is also important that you are able to handle large amounts of information in a time-sensitive environment, prioritise and deliver to deadlines.
