This is an exciting developmental opportunity for 1x experienced CWP who will have been qualified for at least two years by September 2024 to join Cohort 3 of the national SWP programme to become a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner (SWP).
This is a
training role and the post holder will be expected to fulfil the requirements of the SWP Post Graduate diploma as set out at Kings College London (KCL). The post-holder will work within core Southwark CAMHS CWP service delivering under supervision outcome–informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing, mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and behaviours of concern.
Both the training and service experience will equip the post holder with knowledge, attitude and capabilities required to operate effectively in an inclusive, value-driven service.
This is a two-year training role within the Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT) specifically commissioned by NHS England (NHSE) with a view to developing the careers and employability of those trained on Children and Young People’s Mental Health CYP-MH (previously CYP-IAPT) Low Intensity interventions.
The post holders will be expected to attend all KCL academic and self-study days as required and specified within the agreed national curriculum whilst working in the service for the remaining days of the week.
The successful candidate will work as part of the Southwark CAMHS - CWP team managing a defined caseload with a focus on providing focused assessment and evidence-based intervention for children and young people (CYP) with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their parents/carers.
- Please note that you will need to submit an application form to Kings College London (KCL) for a place on the CYP MH in Senior Wellbeing Practitioner Postgraduate Diploma programme in addition to the employment application that you make to the Southwark CWP Service.
The post holder will under guidance provide Case Management and Clinical Skills Supervision to a no of trainee and/CWP's within the service.
The post holder may be required to travel to sites across the Trust when required and adapt working patterns in order to meet demands of the role.
