Role Overview:
We are looking for a People and Culture Partner at IH London who will be working closely with the Director of People and Culture and the business stakeholders to implement the People strategy for responsible departments.
This is truly a generalist role and work will have exposure to all areas of HR, as well as the opportunity to lead several people initiatives and projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted partner for responsible areas of the organisation, meeting regularly with business stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of priorities and identify emerging issues, offering proactive support.
- Develop positive and supportive relationships with external and internal customers, and to provide them with excellent service.
- Provide professional advice and resolutions on all employee relations matters, guiding managers through the process and maintaining positive union relations.
- Produce the regular quarterly and annual HR reports, identifying trends and making recommendations based on data.
- Support the P&C Coordinator in managing the employee life cycle, performance, and development, while improving processes, overseeing payroll accuracy, and ensuring excellent customer experience and alignment with organizational values.
- Advise on recruitment strategies, ensure compliance with protocols, assist with campaign management, and act as the P&C representative in job evaluations.
- Review and update people-related policies, ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational values, while providing advice and training on policies, GDPR, and recruitment.
- Collaborate with the People and Culture team, fostering a positive environment, and line manage the Coordinator by setting and monitoring objectives aligned with organisational strategy.
- Collaborate with the Director of People and Culture on projects such as system implementation, benefits analysis and DE&I initiatives.
- Proactively identify operational and cultural areas that could be improved in line with equality, diversity and inclusion ambitions and work within the framework of the IHL Safeguarding policy, contributing to the development of an enhanced culture of safety for students.
Qualifications and Experience:
We are looking for an HR professional who is CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified, with strong partnering experience in medium-sized organisations. Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and experience/knowledge of different contractual relationships is a must. Ideal candidate should be able to articulate complex HR matters clearly to different audience groups and have a solution focused mindset.
It is desirable to have experience with ADP and other HR systems as we are going through digital transformation across the organisation and this role will play a key part in leading change and finding efficiencies in process and system improvement for the team as well as the business.
