We are looking for a senior leader who knows how important communications and engagement is in improving the way complex organisations work. You will be able to lead and grow a team that engages our staff and partners so they can deliver the best possible care to our young patients.
Your portfolio also covers internal communications and engagement, media relations, stakeholder relations, and public affairs. You will work closely with the Associate Director of Brand and Marketing to ensure we have a joined up approach to our marcomms strategy both on and offline. We’re looking for someone who can bring fresh thinking and suggest new ways of doing things. In return we’ll celebrate your achievements and support you to further learn and develop.

The focus of the role is to ensure that patients, families, staff and stakeholders understand the services offered by the Trust, understand the Trust’s purpose and strategy, are able to influence services and are well informed and engaged in the work of the Trust. The post holder is also accountable for effective communications and engagement strategy for to the NHS Children and Young People’s Gender Service London. This is a partnership between Evelina London Children’s Hospital (part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust), Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
The aim of the postholder is to ensure that all corporate communications embody the values of the organisation, that the purpose and strategy are well-communicated and that they deliver communications strategies to support the delivery of the overarching strategy including associated culture change programmes.
