We are proud to be partnering with a fantastic public-sector organisation, who are looking to appoint an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Partner on a permanent contract.
This will be a full-time position based in Bedfordshire, with hybrid working (3 days home working) and a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 per annum. The ideal candidate will be an EDI subject matter expert and have operative strategic experience.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Keeping up to date with any changes in EDI legislation, regulation and best practice, making recommendations for improvements in our policies and practices, researching and facilitating relevant EDI impact assessments on people, policies and systems
- Monitoring and evaluating progress on diversity and inclusion against corporate strategies, ensuring the aims and commitments of the EDI strategy and action plans are delivered
- Inputing and leading on the development of the EDI strategies and plans to promote EDI principles to senior members and ensure that diversity and inclusion is front and centre of the corporate agenda
- Developing performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress on diversity and inclusion, embed an evidence-based approach and regularly report against the agreed action plans
- Organising and supporting delivery of a range of EDI learning and development activities, events and initiatives
- Providing proactive support and initiatives to reduce the Pay Gap (including Gender, Disability and Ethnicity), monitor progress of any action plans to address gaps and give guidance on how to reduce gaps
- Identifying development needs for diverse and under-represented groups through the ongoing facilitation and support of Inclusion groups
Expertise required:
- Proven track record of EDI expertise in a range of organisations/sectors
- Experience of supporting organisations to evolve their culture with an inclusion focus
- Evidence of influencing ability, and experience in getting others on board, without having direct management authority
- Subject matter expert – evidence of sharing best practice and current EDI related thinking/strategic insights
- Ability to lead and deliver on a project of change
