The Role
Head of People
The role of Head of People will be focused on creating and delivering people strategies that are aligned with Euroflyer’s vision and its current and long-term strategic objectives.
You will be accountable for delivering an HR service encompassing all elements of human resources to drive a high performance and engagement
What You’ll Do
- Accountability for the people strategy ensuring the business plan is achieved and the company is positioned for continuous growth
- influencing and engaging the leadership team on the people agenda partnering them to deliver the business plan
- Member of the Leadership Team; contributing to the strategic direction of the company
- Overseeing the internal communication strategy and activities to support the colleague engagement agenda
- Helping to achieve an organisational design that delivers the company strategy and goals
- Delivers management information and detailed analysis on all aspects of company performance relating to people( including presentation of data within the board pack)
- People strategies that that build a diverse and inclusive organisation
- Responsibility for the wellbeing agenda, delivering initiatives that provide support on financial, emotional, health and social wellbeing
- Drives Employee Engagement activities, coordinating manager initiatives and providing engagement skills to managers
- Own, develop and manage the learning and development initiatives and policy including leadership development and soft-skills learning
- Accountable for the delivery of talent acquisition, attraction and retention strategies, to position the company to be a great place to work
- Own and manage a talent strategy that includes organisational planning for business continuity and career development, retention plans, a talent framework for enhancing development and recognition of key performers, and competency frameworks to improve talent mobility
- In partnership with the line create an effective industrial relations strategy, supporting escalated departmental IR negotiations and consultations and oversee the Information and Consultation Forum
- Oversee all collective agreements and negotiations with union partners to support the business priorities
- Accountable for developing, setting and managing the total reward strategy ensuring the offering meets organisational goals and recruits and that it motivates and retains employees
- Lead the delivery of the performance management process to provide an effective structure to meet company targets and develop employee delivery

- Influence and engage key stakeholders
- Empower, coach and develop others, delegate effectively and manage the performance management cycle
- Ability to manage and inspire change programmes
- Excellent commercial judgement
Your Experience
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent experience
- CIPD qualified – Chartered Member Status (desirable)
- Experience of being accountable for an operational HR support service providing comprehensive and general HR advice, guidance and support to line managers and employees (including remote workforce)
- Knowledge of designing and delivering HR strategy encompassing all functional areas including Reward, Employee Engagement, Workforce Planning and Talent Management
- Experience of providing HR support in a unionised environment and union negotiations
- Sound knowledge of employment law and standard process methodology
- Knowledge of building and managing a budget and experience of managing third party providers
- Knowledge of the airline industry is desirable
