LinkedIn’s Social Impact team partner with nonprofits around the world and inspiring our employees to drive impact. We are looking for a Senior Social Impact Manager to take our current nonprofit partnerships strategy in the UK and Brazil to the next level, whilst leading our regional skilling strategy. In this unique role, this person will have the opportunity to manage a portfolio of partnerships with key workforce development organizations, exploring innovative collaborations to provide economic opportunity to those that need it most. Additionally, this person will have the opportunity to inspire colleagues to connect with their communities, causes and each other to strengthen our culture and the impact we can have together. This position reports to the Head of Social Impact, EMEA & LatAm within Communications and Social Impact.
Responsibilities:
Country strategy
- Lead nonprofit grant making portfolio in the UK and Brazil, build and deliver a strategy of how we can support the needs of our partners in connecting professionals overcoming barriers to opportunity.
- Identify opportunities to grow and nurture impact with key workforce development organisations through thought leadership collaborations and corporate partnerships.
- Engage employees at all levels to scale impact across LinkedIn, including driving participation in our signature LinkedIn Coaches programme.
Regional responsibilities
- Lead skilling programmes across the region to support workforce development nonprofits and professionals overcoming barriers to employment to prepare for an AI-powered future of work.
- Work with local employee volunteer leads and the Employee Engagement team to scope, promote, and host virtual and in-person events that connect professionals overcoming barriers to LinkedIn webinars and group breakout sessions with employee volunteers and senior leaders.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across the Center for Global Impact (LinkedIn for Nonprofits, Policy, Diversity Inclusion & Belonging, Sustainability) to ensure alignment of goals and strategy and bring the holistic value of LinkedIn to the region.
- Partner with LinkedIn’s Policy teams to leverage labour market insights to inform our partners on key trends and opportunities for upskilling.
- Partner with Employee Engagement to support philanthropic disaster response process, monitoring and activating Social Impact disaster response efforts in response to environmental and social issues.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and opportunities in the social impact landscape and ensure our programs remain relevant and effective.
- Willingness and appetite to travel 5% of the time (when travel is permitted).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years' experience in creating and leading employability or skilling programmes at either a business or a nonprofit.
- Business fluency English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business fluency in a second language is a plus.
- Experience in programme and volunteer management.
- Ability to deliver Social Impact programmes across numerous locations.
- Experience with and knowledge of the nonprofit marketplace in the UK and Brazil.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships across a wide and diverse group of employees.
- Strong project management skills, attention to detail and deadline orientated.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to leverage social media.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and unstructured environment.
- Demonstrate independent problem solving / decision making.
- Experience working in a global environment, ability to manage programmes at scale.
