An exciting Police Staff opportunity has arisen for the role of Equality, Diversity and Engagement Co-ordinator
This temporary role is a development opportunity available until 31st March 2026.

- What pay scale is the role?
The pay scale is E (£29,874 to £32,772).
- Why has the role been created?
The force has a responsibility to implement requirements of the Police Race Action Plan (PRAP) and Criminal Justice in Wales Anti-Racism Plan (CJiW) across the organisation. Both plans have workstreams and leads have been appointed to progress and implement changes. We have identified a gap is co-ordination of work across these workstreams and knowledge and expertise across the field of work as a whole.
The creation of this role has been approved to provide co-ordination, develop expertise and knowledge in this field. In addition the force will shortly be embarking on the provision of Race Related Culture training for all officers and staff. The training will be delivered by an external provider but this role will act as co-ordinator for the training delivery.
- What duties does the role involve?
- Lead and facilitate effective liaison between Dyfed-Powys Police internal leads, local communities and partner agencies
- Manage and support the work of the workstream leads
- Coordinate the delivery of Race related culture training, force wide
- Attendance at All Wales CJiW Taskforce meetings and national PRAP meetings
- Responsible for managing and co-ordinating internal meetings relevant to PRAP & CJIW, including drafting of agendas, actions, and minutes.
- Work collaboratively with the Positive Action Officer in arranging support for those who are already employed by Dyfed-Powys Police, who are eligible for Positive Action, and wish to progress through the organisation.
- To actively seek out best practice in the delivery of the PRAP and the CJiW Plan.
