The Head of L&D will be responsible for shaping the learning and development strategy across the Edwin James Group. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other key stakeholders to develop and implement strategic solutions to ensure training programmes meet the needs of the various business units and employees at all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Learning and Development team to achieve the EJ Academy’s purpose.
Ensure that the EJ Purpose, Vision and Values are translated and embedded into our L&D Strategy.
Identify skill gaps within each business unit and create strategic solutions to support the operations teams.
Manage Training budgets and forecast current and future costs that will be incurred for the EJ Group
Identify and collaborate with external training providers who may be relevant to provide services based on the training needs.
Promote the Academy values internally and externally, through a clear communication plan.
Collaborate with the wider HR and Operational leads to identify talent within the EJ Group through the Career Development process, building a strong internal pipeline of future leaders.
Conduct research initiatives into the latest learning and development products and approaches that may benefit the business.
Evaluate the success of learning interventions and report findings to the BU Senior Leadership Teams
Develop and manage the Pathways to Success Framework to provide transparency around the future career outlook for all employees in the EJ Group.
Monitor the Career Development Review process in line with the pathway’s framework to fuel future planning of training courses required.
Ensure that all training across the group is filtered through the EJ Academy, with training certifications/accreditations logged and managed by the L&D Team through the IFS Portal.
