What We’re Looking For

NBCCM’s Mining & Metals Investment Banking team is seeking an Investment Banking Intern to support deal execution and origination activities in London, UK.

As an Investment Banking Intern, you will play a key role in supporting transaction execution and industry coverage activities, gaining significant exposure to complex advisory and financing mandates. Responsibilities will progressively increase, offering strong development opportunities within a specialist sector-focused franchise.

Your Job

Assisting in the evaluation and analysis of the financial needs of corporate clients, including financial modelling and valuation analysis
Supporting deal teams with transaction structuring and the execution of advisory and financing mandates
Preparing presentations, pitch books, and other materials to support clients' strategic and capital markets decision-making
Assisting in the drafting of marketing materials, investor presentations, prospectuses, offering memoranda, and other transaction-related documentation
Conducting company, industry, commodity, and market research with a focus on the mining & metals sector
Supporting senior team members with deal execution, project coordination, and client coverage activities
Maintaining financial databases and assisting with the preparation of internal and external reports

Basic Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering, or other related disciplines
Strong academic record with demonstrated analytical and quantitative abilities
Previous internship experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, equity research, consulting, capital markets, or other related fields, is desirable
Strong interest in the mining & metals or broader natural resources sectors
Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and capital markets
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, or similar financial databases is considered an asset
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
