Role Title: ED&I Partner
Salary: We anticipate paying a salary between £48,000 – £63,000 DOE
Location: Hybrid working with a base office in Derby, Manchester, or Warrington
The purpose of this role is to deliver and embed the Rolls-Royce SMR Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) strategy across the organisation, ensuring that we achieve our internal and external ED&I commitments.
The ED&I Partner will be responsible for all aspects of ED&I, ensuring we maintain high standards and a progressive approach to attracting diverse talent and creating a culture in which everyone can thrive. As an advanced practitioner of ED&I, they will guide the business on best practice in this space.
In collaboration with the wider Culture and Inclusion team, the ED&I Partner will help to embed our company values within the organisation. This will include support for the delivery of our Wellbeing and Engagement strategies.
The role will be critical in ensuring the delivery of our commitments to external stakeholders and legal requirements relating to ED&I. Internally, the role will involve working with stakeholders from across the business to ensure the effective deployment of the ED&I strategy and relevant aspects of the Wellbeing and Engagement strategies, and of interventions that assist us in achieving our related goals; and the effective governance of all related activities to ensure the desired impact is achieved.
Short-term goals: gain a clear understanding of our ED&I strategy, external commitments and our immediate priorities in delivering on said commitments; a refreshed (if appropriate) ED&I strategy to further align with the goals and deliverables of the business..
Mid-term success: successful delivery of our priority objectives within the ED&I strategy; and the delivery of our external ED&I commitments on time and to plan.
Longer-term success: successful delivery of all aspects of our external commitments, including demonstrating solid progression towards our gender, ethnicity and disability ambitions; recognition from external authorities for our company culture with regards to inclusion.
A broad range of qualifications will be considered subject to the applicant having appropriate experience that underpins an advanced understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Supplementary training or qualifications in ED&I or related topics will also be advantageous.
