The Role and Responsibilities
An exciting new opportunity for a Compliance and Governance Specialist has arisen here at EnerMech. Reporting to our General Counsel, this is a pivotal role with global reach in the business. You will gain exposure to Senior Leadership within the organisation and have the opportunity to grow within the role, you will also have 2 direct reports to line manage.
Key duties in the role will include;
- To develop and implement Compliance & Corporate Governance policies, ensuring ongoing monitoring and improvement
- Manage third-party due diligence, risk assessments, and compliance reviews for tenders, bids, and pre-qualification processes, safeguarding business integrity at every stage.
- Liaise with senior management and coordinate maintaining an Anti-Bribery and Corruption risk assessment, updating policies and introducing new policies

- Review and advise on compliance and governance aspects within agreements, including Joint Venture Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, and contract clauses, ensuring alignment with regulatory and ethical standards
- Acting as data protection champion, responding to subject access requests, investigating breach reports
- Maintain and manage essential governance registers
- Conducting compliance investigations
The Requirements
To be successful in this role you will hold a Legal based degree and have previous experience supporting organisations in their compliance and ethics. You will ideally have experience working in Oil, Gas or Energy companies and have an understanding of their main risks associated with the industry.
You will be proficient in developing and implementing effective compliance programmes and be confident in leading any training required.
We are open to this role being based remotely with the understanding that the person would travel to Aberdeen when required.
