Vivienne Westwood LTD is looking for a Privacy & Compliance Specialist to join the Legal and Compliance Team,
which sits across London and Milan. The candidate will be based in the Battersea Office on a full-time basis with the UK Legal Counsel, the Group Head of Legal and the Compliance Specialist based in Milan.
REPORTING LINES
- The role will report to the UK Legal Counsel for day-to-day UK-related activities.
- The role will report to the Group Head of Legal (based in Milan) for overall alignment, priorities, and group-level governance.
For all Group privacy and compliance matters, the role will be coordinated and report functionally to the Compliance Specialist based in Milan
Key Responsibilities
Privacy
- Supporting the Legal & Compliance Team for the day-to-day management of privacy matters and responsible for ensuring GDPR compliance across the business;
- Preparation of and maintenance of privacy documentation, including but not limited to privacy policies, privacy notices, ROPA, DPAs, DPIAs and privacy documents in general;
- Implementation and co-ordination with internal departments regarding GDPR compliance and liaising with external stakeholders (e.g. external consultants, the company’s DPO, and relevant authorities where required);
- Pro-actively conducting regular research on legislation in the field of privacy, sharing analysis and regular updates with the Legal & Compliance Team;
- Supporting with management of the Privacy inbox and any DSARs; and
- Responsible for supporting the marketing function with compliant cookie management via OneTrust.
Compliance
- Supporting the UK Legal Counsel and UK Responsibility team on UK compliance matters, including but not limited to product compliance regulations (national and international), waste and packaging, corporate criminal offences (CCO), whistleblowing and supplier onboarding;
- Supporting on all group compliance activities or with compliance activities with impacts on the group;
- Policy drafting and supporting with implementation of compliance frameworks within the UK and co-ordination with internal departments;
- Conducting legal research and regulation horizon scanning with regards to new potential national, European and international regulations that could impact the UK company or corporate group (e.g. CSRD, ESPR, and any other product regulation activities);
- Supporting with risk assessments activities in regards to group compliance projects and periodic verification of implemented activities;
- Supporting in the management of specific compliance requests arising from internal departments;
- General administrative and legal support to the UK Legal Counsel including the review of contracts, policy drafting (both internal and external) and internal training sessions; and
- Any other ad hoc support required.

TECHNICAL AND PERSONAL SKILLS:
- Law degree (having obtained the LPC or similar qualification to practice law in the UK will be preferred);
- At least 3 years' experience in privacy or compliance roles in multinational companies or law firms;
- Excellent knowledge of regulations on privacy and compliance;
- Strong communication skills, written and oral in English; knowledge of other languages such as Italian is desirable but not essential;
- Refined problem-solving skills, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritise effectively, attention to detail, ownership-driven attitude to work, proactivity, organization and a collaborative team mindset.
