Your role
The Digital Jury Bundle Coordinator (DJB Coordinator) will be responsible for managing and coordinating various tasks related to the daily operations of the courtroom, including but not limited to, the training of jurors in use of the digital device, logging and progressing the resolution of any technical issues with the relevant service desk. This role will ensure that jurors, defendants, and witnesses are equipped with a digital device and have the relevant tools to enable them to follow the evidence of the trial.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Restricted To.
- Deliver training to jurors in the use of the digital bundle (video and walk through)
- Report any concerns in level of juror understanding of the digital device which may impact their ability to follow the evidence of the trial.
- Create PINs for jurors to enable annotation of digital bundle across court venue.
- Issue the defendant with digital bundle and PIN (Dependent on defendant having a device or paper bundle).
- Admit jury, defendant, and witness box to the digital bundle.
- Place digital device on juror bench. Distribute to judge, defendant, and witness box.
- Enter the PIN on the Witness Box device daily.
- Ensure jurors are placed into the digital bundle lobby at the end of each day to prevent access to the system outside of court hours.
- Count in digital devices at the end of each court day, check for damage/issues with device and report to relevant service desk/s.
- Digital devices to be cleaned with antibacterial wipe and placed into the charging cabinets.
- Report faults with the digital bundle or the digital device to the relevant service desk and within agreed timescales.
- Complete data collection on daily basis in support of the pilot.
- Participate in Local implementation Team (LIT) meetings and support evaluation of pilot.
- Assist in training of digital jury bundle coordinator cover (deputy).
- Essential:
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to relevant audience.
- A court background or court experience would be beneficial but not essential to the role.
Further Details:
These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ’s Flexible Working policy.
Lead Criterion: Statement of Suitability
. A sift based on the statement of suitability may be held if a large number of applications are received.
From 22 July 2025, the Government increased the salary threshold and skills level for Skilled Worker visas. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for sponsorship in accordance with the current immigration rules if you looking to apply for a Skilled Worker Visa for the first time.
The Department cannot consider sponsoring you for this role unless you have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously since before 22 July 2025. Fixed Term Appointments (FTA) on Promotion
MoJ employees may apply for FTA opportunities in MoJ that are advertised at a higher grade than their current substantive grade. Where an employee accepts an FTA on promotion, this promotion will be temporary, and the employee will revert to their substantive grade upon return to their home business area, as per the loan policy for OGD loans. Before applying, employees must seek approval from their line managers to ensure they can be released for the duration of the FTA and can return to their substantive role at the end. If there is no role available at the end of the FTA, the employee will be subject to redeployment and potentially redundancy procedures.
Loans
The terms of the loan will be agreed between the home and host department and the Civil Servant. This includes grade on return. Prior agreement to be released on a loan basis should be obtained before commencing the application process.
