How will I help?

As the People Business Partner, you will support the Head of People PNG and the wider People team to deliver both strategic and operational generalist HR support across the business. You will work closely with leaders and stakeholders, enabling the business to deliver on its people strategy through a collaborative, flexible and ‘can-do’ approach.
What are my key areas of focus?
- Partner with key business leaders, including the Leadership Team, to provide trusted advice, guidance and support
- Deliver strategically aligned people solutions that support business priorities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across PNG, Fiji and Australia, including outsourced service providers, to ensure efficient and effective operational support
- Support the planning and delivery of organisation-wide employee calendar initiatives and activities
- Contribute to the strategic and operational performance of WPNG through new ideas, continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing
- Ensure all People-related activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory and ethical obligations
What do I need?
You will bring a solid understanding of People Business Partnering, with more than 5 years’ experience in a similar role. You will also have demonstrated capability across a broad range of HR disciplines, including recruitment, inclusion and diversity, employee relations, talent management, reward and change, and a genuine passion for helping people succeed.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound problem-solving ability and clear, confident communication skills. You always work with professionalism and integrity, show strong self-leadership, and are curious and motivated to continue learning and developing in your career.
