This post is funded for three years through the Inclusive Mainstream Fund and contributes to the delivery of national SEND reforms, supporting the development of inclusive practice and provision.
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Inclusion Manager to join our Inclusion team within an inclusive FE setting. You will manage a team of Inclusive Learning Mentors that offer outstanding support to our learners with SEND and ensure that they succeed and achieve their highest potential.
We are looking for enthusiastic professionals who can promote a culture of inclusion, high expectations of behaviour, motivation and success through excellent standards of inclusive teaching and learning and wrap around support. In addition, you should be an excellent team player and have a passion for supporting students with SEND and other vulnerable characteristics.
As an Inclusion Manager you will:
- Lead a team of Inclusive Learning Mentors to provide an outstanding student experience for all students with SEND and vulnerable characteristics
- Design and implement a robust programme of development for teachers and leaders with regard to inclusive teaching practices
- Ensure curriculum departments have the confidence and ability to carry out, assess, plan and review, in line with the SEND code of Practice, and create individual study plans as needed
- Analyse, review and report on student needs and practices in place to remove learning barriers as needed
You will have:
- GCSE grade A*-C/9-4 in English and Maths or equivalent
- PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification
- Degree in a relevant subject
- At least 3 years teaching experience with a SEND specialism
- A qualification in SEND is desirable but not essential
