We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Workforce Inclusion (Disability & Neurodiversity) Partner in our HR Operational Team – Workforce Accessibility. Could you be who we are looking for?
About the Team/Department you will be joining:
You will work with the Workforce Accessibility Team to take a lead in Force developments which promote improved inclusivity and accessibility across the South Wales Police workforce. You will be located at Police Headquarters, Bridgend, although you will need to travel across the Force’s area.
About the role and your key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of a workplace inclusion and accessibility strategy
- Act as the organisation’s subject matter expert on disability and neurodiversity, providing specialist advice and guidance
- Partner with managers to provide best practice guidance on workplace adjustments, inclusion, and employee support
- Lead and deliver workplace needs assessments, ensuring practical and sustainable adjustments are implemented
- Support complex employee relations matters (e.g. grievances, capability) as an expert advisor
- Design and deliver training and awareness programmes to build organisational capability
- Provide coaching and mentoring to managers and employees
- Contribute to and shape policy development and organisational strategy relating to disability and inclusion
- Work collaboratively across HR, Occupational Health, and wider business teams
- Support inclusive recruitment practices and policy development
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
- Strong experience in disability and/or neurodiversity support in the workplace
- Proven ability to partner with stakeholders and influence decision-making
- Experience of workplace assessments and reasonable adjustments
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice (e.g. Equality Act)
- Confident delivering training, coaching, and advisory support
- Comfortable working across both strategic and casework contexts
