About WYK
WYK is a digital skills social enterprise that helps to lower the barriers to entry into digital careers. We're commissioned by the UK Government to run free-to-access training programmes in digital marketing, analytics, AI and other in-demand job areas.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the friendly, dynamic team at WYK Digital as a Programme Coordinator for an initial 10-week contract. You will play a vital role in the delivery of our performance marketing Skills Bootcamp, which is the core element of our mission to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of young people who are looking to pursue a career in the digital industry.
Responsibilities
The Programme Coordinator role is responsible for driving the day-to-day operations of the WYK Digital Skills Bootcamp, delivered by a mix of WYK staff and external trainers to a range of young people who are looking to start a career in Digital Marketing.
As a Programme Coordinator you will work closely with our training team, helping to ensure that we retain the high level of quality and consistency that our training has become known for. We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual, with strong communication and organisational skills.
This role will provide efficient, effective and high-quality administrative and learner support to WYK's programmes. Duties can be divided into the following areas of work, and the tasks/responsibilities will include helping with onboarding, management, coaching and comms. You will also:
- Manage delivery against the programme's funding milestones, with an awareness of how Skills Bootcamps operate on a payment-by-results model where funding is released at key points such as enrolment, completion and positive job outcomes.
- Support partnership management with employers, referral partners and external trainers to drive enrolments, learner progression and job outcomes.
- Provide learner support to mixed ability groups, ensuring reasonable adjustments are identified and put in place so that all learners can fully access the programme.
- Support WYK's safeguarding policies and practice in day-to-day delivery, helping to promote learner wellbeing.
- Report on contract delivery and business KPIs, and support us with submitting outcome evidence to government commissioners.
Qualifications/Experience
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Experience leading programme delivery, including admin, project management, budgeting and outcome ownership.
- Commercial or funding awareness, ideally including an understanding of payment-by-results or milestone-based funding models and the importance of evidencing outcomes to secure funding.
- Experience of partnership management with employers, referral partners or external delivery partners.
- Experience working with mixed ability groups, with an understanding of reasonable adjustments and how to apply them in practice.
- An understanding of safeguarding policies and practice, particularly when working with young people.
- Resilience, creativity and problem solving, which are key in a small team like ours.
- Comfort making decisions and solving problems as the programme moves forward.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work in a team, leading meetings, and on their own initiative.
- The confidence to offer learning support and coaching: friendliness, organisational skills, punctuality and reliability.
- Experience using Google Classroom or a similar LMS (not essential, as training is provided).
- Comfort leading non-technical sessions such as CV writing and interview prep.
Experience working in careers or with young job seekers is desirable but not essential. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, depending on experience.
The role is mostly remote, but the upcoming programme requires 5 in-person days over an 8-week period.
The role would suit someone who has experience in Skills Bootcamps or a similar employability-focused programme, in both management and delivery. While this is a 10-week initial contract, there is potentially the opportunity to work on further bootcamps or other programmes in future.
WYK is a social impact organisation. We're looking for someone who cares about equal access to opportunity and diversity in the workplace.
The role is initially contract but has the potential to extend or become a permanent.
Day rate: £180 - £220 depending on experience
