The Opportunity
The Strategic Communications practice in London is looking for a dynamic, bright and proactive graduate to join the team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong interest in capital markets, the wider economy and business in general. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic and have a desire to grow personally and professionally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring the news and media landscape on a daily basis for client and sector related articles and flagging with client teams accordingly
- Supporting client teams in managing the day-to-day running of accounts, including providing agendas, action points, monthly reporting, media lists, journalist briefing notes and research in a timely manner
- Interacting directly with journalists and City analysts
- Managing listed client results days including RNS and press release upload and distribution, monitoring for media coverage and on-the-ground logistical support on results days
- Drafting press releases and media summaries
- Conducting in depth background research on companies, sectors and issues to support existing client strategy and advice
- Supporting on new business development, including feeding into pitch presentations and meeting preparation
- Supporting the team with basic data and analysis
Qualifications:
- Strong academics with a minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree classification
- A proven interest in strategic communications
- Articulate and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to a team environment
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to distill information clearly and concisely
- Excellent time management and ability to manage own tasks and deadlines
- Enthusiastic, energetic and ambitious
