An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Strategic People Partner to join a large, values-led organisation undergoing significant transformation. Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide strategic HR business partnering, supporting organisational objectives through workforce planning, organisational development and complex people initiatives.
This role combines strategic and operational responsibilities, requiring someone who can influence senior stakeholders, lead organisational change and deliver pragmatic people solutions in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to develop and deliver people strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
- Lead and support organisational change programmes, including restructures, redesigns and workforce planning initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, coaching and influencing leaders on a wide range of people issues.
- Lead consultation processes with recognised Trade Unions and employee representatives.
- Shape and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
- Drive organisational development initiatives that improve performance, engagement and culture.
- Use people data and insight to identify trends, inform decision-making and develop practical solutions.
- Contribute to the wider People Strategy and lead strategic HR projects from planning through to implementation.
- Support managers through performance management, succession planning, recruitment and talent development.
- Promote equality, diversity and inclusion across all people practices.
- Develop and deliver training and guidance to managers on HR policies and best practice.
What They're Looking For
- Significant experience operating as a senior HR Business Partner or People Partner within a complex organisation.
- Proven experience leading organisational change, restructures and workforce planning initiatives.
- Strong background managing complex employee relations casework.
- Experience working collaboratively with Trade Unions and leading consultation processes.
- Ability to influence, challenge and coach senior leaders.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience developing HR policies and implementing strategic people initiatives.
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) and experience leading or mentoring others.
- Higher Education experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
This role would suit someone who enjoys operating at both a strategic and hands-on level, building strong stakeholder relationships and helping organisations navigate change while maintaining a positive employee experience.
