Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend working as required to support service delivery
Starting Salary: £33,199 per annum, rising to £35,444 after probation
Location: Based at Sale Road, Norwich (NR7), with travel required across Norfolk and Waveney, including Norwich, North, South, East and West localities.
- Due to the nature of the role, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential. Business insurance is also required. Mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile for cars, after deducting the mileage between your home and work base.

Norfolk and Waveney Mind is seeking an experienced and passionate Access and Inclusion Manager to lead the development and delivery of our Access and Inclusion Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by reducing health inequalities and improving access to mental health support for people and communities who are currently underrepresented in services.
Working across Norfolk and Waveney, you will lead the Access and Inclusion specialist team which focuses on engaging with seldom-heard communities, people with protected characteristics, and inclusion health groups. You will play a key role in understanding barriers to access, building trusted relationships within communities, and ensuring our services are inclusive, equitable and responsive to local needs.
About The Role
As the Access and Inclusion Manager you will provide leadership to a county-wide team of Access and Inclusion Specialists operating across North, South, East, West and central Norfolk and Waveney
You Will
- Lead initiatives that improve access to NHS Talking Therapies for underrepresented groups.
- Work closely with community leaders, partner organisations, local authorities and VCSE organisations.
- Help shape services that reflect the diverse needs of local communities.
- Use data and insight to identify disparities in access and recovery outcomes.
- Oversee the development of inclusion dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
- Build strong partnerships across the mental health, health, social care and voluntary sectors.
- Champion trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches.
The Role Will Focus On Supporting Communities Including
- Ethnic minority communities
- Older adults aged 65+
- Parents and people in the perinatal period
- Carers
- Neurodivergent individuals
- People living with long-term health conditions
- Inclusion health groups and communities experiencing health inequalities
Essential Experience
- Significant experience of working within mental health, wellbeing, health, social care or voluntary sector services.
- Proven experience of leading and managing teams.
- Experience developing services for underrepresented or seldom-heard communities.
- Strong partnership working experience across multiple organisations and sectors.
- Experience of engaging with community stakeholders and building effective relationships.
- Knowledge of recovery-focused approaches within mental health services.
- Experience of working within multi-agency environments.
- Strong understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Experience using data and performance information to drive service improvements.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of NHS Talking Therapies services.
- Understanding of psychologically informed environments (PIE) and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience within the charity or third sector.
