About
I am passionate about creating inclusive, supportive, and engaging environments where individuals feel a genuine sense of belonging and are empowered to thrive. My professional journey has been shaped by a commitment to fostering wellbeing, encouraging personal and professional growth, and building meaningful connections across diverse teams. I believe that people are at the heart of every successful organisation, and I take pride in championing initiatives that promote equity, accessibility, and development. I am eager to work with an institution that values inclusion, accountability, accessibility and growth as part of its core principles, as this aligns perfectly with my ethos and aspirations as a professional.
I have had the immense pleasure to develop myself and others in various organisations I have worked in, through the curation of training sessions, and the arrangement of external companies to develop staff and empower and embolden them in their role. This is best demonstrated through my time at Shakespeare’s Globe, where accessibility was my focus area. I had identified that, though the theatre had ‘Accessible Performances’, there was a minimal amount of training or catering for the front of house team. Through collaboration with various departments across the organisation, and with full consideration of budgeting restrictions, I began an initiative of creating a team of ‘Access Ambassadors’ from our Volunteer team, and organised various training courses from internal experts-by-experience and local organisations, to better equip the ‘Ambassadors’ to provide and equitable and inclusive experience for all. This initiative covered d/Deaf awareness, neurodiversity, physical disabilities, blindness / visual impairment, faith, LGBTQIA+ awareness, and microaggressions. The initiative proved not only successful in its output to visitors, but also became highly popular amongst the volunteer pool, increasing the numbers to 20+ and allowing at least 2 ‘Access Ambassadors’ present for each show.
My current role at Imperial Health Charity highlights my agility across operational and people functions, managing switchboard systems and shared inboxes with precision, which has allowed me to consistently demonstrate my strong communication skills and ensure that queries are always appropriately dealt with. Part of my HR administrative support includes carrying out DBS checks for all contract staff and carrying out Right To Work checks, handling these appointments with care, professionalism and with a personable manner to ensure that the candidate is at ease at all times. My role has also allowed me to support by contributing to policy creations within the organisation to support in the development and distribution of the employee handbook, and the creation of a number of Standard Operating Procedures to support all staff with a wide array of processes that can be carried out internally. I pride myself on my ability to approach conversations with staff with empathy, but ensuring that professionalism is maintained, leaning on my strong knowledge of internal processes and procedures to signpost.
I’m consistently described as a self-starter — someone who thrives on identifying areas for improvement, devising solutions, and delivering meaningful results. I approach tasks proactively, whether it's streamlining systems, implementing new initiatives, or simply noticing where support may be needed. A standout example of this is my continued work on Imperial Health Charity’s ‘Staff Competency Matrix’, where I took ownership of tracking compliance across mandatory training and DBS checks. By building and refining clear and user-friendly documentation using Microsoft Excel and other tools in the Office suite, I’ve helped ensure our teams remain compliant, well-prepared, and fully supported. My IT proficiency allows me to create resources that are not only effective and accessible but also tailored to diverse user needs; whether it's managing data sets, designing process templates, or producing easy-to-digest guides.
I am someone who is consistently looking for new opportunities to develop, learn and grow myself in my personal life and career. I strive to create environments where people feel safe, valued, and empowered, where wellbeing is prioritised and opportunities for growth are accessible to everyone. Having worked in the operational sphere and now in a more administrative role, I am now ready to take the next step in my career. My skillsets lend themselves towards a People, EDI and wellbeing position, where I can continue building inclusive systems and support structures that reflect these principles.
