We have an exciting opportunity for two Senior D&I Executives to join the Diversity & Inclusion team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in London.
The objective of these roles is to support the Head of D&I, and the wider D&I team, with the running of our D&I function. One of the available roles has a global focus, supporting the Head of D&I with the delivery of our global D&I strategy across our international offices. The other opportunity will support the London office, working closely with the UK Diversity, Inclusion and CR Manager to deliver the UK D&I and Corporate Responsibility plans.

In London, the HR team comprises professionals across all areas from graduate and lateral recruitment, learning & development to teams specialising in generalist HR, our HR system, partner HR, corporate responsibility and diversity and inclusion: all working alongside our international colleagues in supporting our global offices. Key Responsibilities
- Working with our comms teams to manage our global or UK D&I comms plan, co-ordinate contributions from our international network, and look for opportunities to raise the profile of our D&I activities.
- Supporting the delivery of key global or UK D&I initiatives such as comms campaigns, projects, training and events.
- Building strong relationships with our network of D&I contacts and stakeholders, regularly liaising with them to maintain momentum, and ensure consistency across D&I activities, initiatives, and plans.
- Monitoring, recording and tracking activities on an ongoing basis, ensuring this is fed through to regular newsletters, the intranet and other internal/external channels when necessary.
- Managing our internal D&I intranet sites (on SharePoint) - including keeping the content up to date, writing content, and building new pages.
- Collaborating with business development teams on tasks such as responding to D&I related client questions, pitch materials and preparing award submissions.
- Supporting the development of our global 'Wellbeing@Birds' initiative, as part of our focus on mental health and wellbeing across the firm.
- Supporting and co-ordinating our employee networks.
- Helping to pull together diversity data for reporting and analysis.
- For the UK role specifically - supporting the delivery of our fundraising and volunteering opportunities, charity relationships, and key initiatives such as our work experience programme.
- Day to day operational activities e.g. processing invoices, co-ordinating logistics for events, managing external memberships, preparing PowerPoint presentations, dealing with ad hoc enquiries, managing shared inboxes.
- Identifying risks related to diversity and inclusion, managing these risk effectively and determining when to escalate matters or queries to the Head of D&I.
- Tracking the D&I budget, ensuring invoices are accurately coded and processed.
What You'll Bring
- Excellent organisation, stakeholder management and co-ordination skills.
- Previous experience within HR and/or Diversity and Inclusion, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Professional and confident communication skills.
- Experienced at arranging internal events.
- Ability to work with international teams and networks.
