Alongside a desire to tackle challenging issues, do you bring the right blend of expertise, empathy, and qualifications to make a real difference? If so, we’d love to welcome you to our vibrant university community as a Wellbeing Practitioner within the Student Wellbeing Service.
As a key practitioner within the mental health and wellbeing team you will work with colleagues to respond to the University cause for concern escalation pathway, as well as holding a student case load. You will also provide advice and guidance to our team of Student Support and Guidance Tutors in relation to complex or higher-risk students that they are supporting or aware of, and have the opportunity to work alongside our Disclosure Response Team, who respond to disclosures of harassment, hate crime, and sexual misconduct.
To Succeed In This Role You Will
- Possess the relevant skills, qualifications and experience to join a specialist multidisciplinary team of wellbeing practitioners
- Be able to work effectively as part of a wider Student Wellbeing team and be comfortable and competent in risk management, safety-planning and decision making
- Have experience of supporting team members to manage high-risk and complex student presentations or situations
- Be expected to operate in a highly professional manner and build effective relationships across both the University and wider community, particularly with statutory and other support services

This is a 12 month, fixed term contract (37.0 hours per week) to cover maternity leave with a June start date and we welcome applications from candidates looking to job share. You will be based on the Moulsecoomb campus, Monday-Friday with some remote working permitted.
