The impact you'll make
As our Colleague Engagement Lead, you'll lead the development and delivery of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and colleague engagement strategies, helping to build a culture where everyone feels they belong.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, you'll influence leaders, empower colleagues and ensure colleague feedback drives positive change. From designing engagement initiatives and wellbeing campaigns to embedding inclusive practices across the employee lifecycle, you'll play a key role in creating an outstanding colleague experience.
What you'll be doing
You'll:
- Lead the development and delivery of FCHO's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and action plan.
- Design and deliver colleague engagement initiatives that strengthen culture and improve colleague experience.
- Lead colleague surveys, focus groups and listening activities, ensuring feedback is turned into meaningful action.
- Champion our "You Said, We Did" approach, demonstrating how colleague feedback shapes positive change.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to leaders and managers on EDI, inclusion and colleague engagement.
- Analyse engagement and EDI data, using insight to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and deliver engaging workshops, training and resources that build inclusive leadership and awareness.
- Work closely with our People Team to embed inclusion throughout recruitment and the colleague lifecycle.
- Partner with Communications to deliver impactful engagement campaigns.
- Support and develop our Wellbeing and EDI Champions.
- Build strong relationships with internal networks and external partners to share best practice and drive innovation.
About you
You'll be an engaging, collaborative and influential professional who enjoys building relationships and creating positive organisational change.
You'll also bring:
- A qualification in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Experience leading successful EDI and/or colleague engagement initiatives within a complex organisation.
- A strong understanding of equality legislation, inclusive practice and organisational culture change.
- Experience using data and insight to develop strategies and measure impact.
- Experience designing and delivering learning and development interventions.
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels, including senior leaders.
- Experience working with internal networks and external partners.
- A proactive, resilient and collaborative approach with a genuine passion for improving colleague experience.
- Experience within the housing, public or not-for-profit sector is desirable.
