We’re looking for an inspiring and insight-led Engagement Lead to shape and deliver our colleague engagement strategy across the business, helping us build a high-performing, customer-first culture where colleagues feel listened to, valued and empowered to make a difference. In this role, you’ll turn data, feedback and colleague sentiment into meaningful action, working closely with senior leaders, People teams, Centres of Expertise, Internal Communications and external partners to drive positive change across M&S.,

This role can be based in either our Salford Quays Support Office or London Support Office.
What You’ll Do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Lead the development and delivery of a clear, insight-led colleague engagement strategy aligned to M&S behaviours and transformation goals.
- Own and evolve our colleague listening approach, including surveys and listening sessions across all levels of the organisation, ensuring colleague voice is understood and acted upon.
- Translate engagement data, trends and feedback into clear insight, practical recommendations and prioritised actions for business areas and senior leaders.
- Work collaboratively with People Partnering teams, COEs, People Hub, Business Involvement Group, Internal Communications and external survey providers to bring engagement plans to life.
- Build leadership capability by helping leaders understand engagement insight, take meaningful action and keep local action plans relevant, visible and impactful.
Who You Are
Your skills will include:
- A strategic problem solver who can turn data, feedback and insight into clear stories, recommendations and action.
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to make complex insight simple, engaging and actionable.
- Strong business partner management and influencing skills, including confidence working with senior leaders and Exec-level partners.
- A strong understanding of engagement, culture, organisational effectiveness and change, ideally within a fast-paced retail or customer-led environment.
- Strong project management skills, attention to detail and confidence working with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and communications sites.
