Job Title: Global Assistant Brand Manager - Social First & PR

Rexona is looking for PR/Comms and Social First Assistant Manager to support and drive the ‘Others Say’ vision for this iconic brand. As opposed to ‘Brand Say’ marketing where the speaker is the brand, ‘Others Say’ leverages the voices of others to amplify brand messages to authentically build credibility and trust with its audience to drive business and communications goals. Others Say includes everything from traditional media/expert outreach, testimonials and customer reviews to today’s ever increasing need to be a social-first.
Job Purpose
This role will work to “design” and uplevel Rexona communications by building PR and social first strategies, plans and crafting unmissable content for the key brand moments. The role exists in the “now” and ensures that we can react to what is happening out in the real world.
The role requires the individual to partner with the Global PR/Comms & Social First Lead to foster strong internal relationships with category and BU comms team, as well as work hand in hand with a cross-agency team across multiple BU’s.
The role also has exciting and challenging areas of autonomy, with the successful candidate being expected to support on all aspects of the deliverables and to help bring new thinking, ideas and rigour to the role as we grow this area of expertise for the brand.
Responsibilities
Key deliverables/responsibilities will include (but not exclusive to):
- Support in developing and ensuring implementation of the brands external communications, Others Say Marketing strategy.
- Creating a yearly global integrated internal and external social strategy communications plan and content calendar
- Partner with social agency on always on Brand Say and Others Say social first content to bring to life Rexona’s TOV.
- Partnering with Rexona project leads on their campaigns to ensure Others Say is embedded into the core of the campaigns from the start
- Lead the social management across the top 11 markets and be the guardian for consistency across all social handles & social messaging
- Building with the key BU the external comms plan for the top 11 markets
- Lead the success of our community management strategy alongside the social agency.
- Leading the PR measurement and developing the tools and ensure frequent reporting on success

Essential Experience
- Relevant years experience in external communications, within a large organisation, PR & IM agency or media relations.
- Experience of managing brand PR, Brand Social Influencer and consumer PR campaigns with autonomy
- Clear understanding of the requirements and demands of an international role dealing with multiple markets
- Proven strong networking abilities
- Has worked in or with a multi-stakeholder environment
- Passionate about brands with purpose and a point of view and knows the content necessary to succeed in earned and paid storytelling
- A positive and can-do attitude, rigour and ability yourself and others accountable
- Sense of aesthetics, eye for details and pride in delivering high-quality work and not settling for “good enough”
- External focus, aware of what is happening in key brand interest areas

Location In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London. This site will house some employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars together with colleagues who are currently located in Lever House in Kingston. Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
