How You’ll Play Your Part
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering training initiatives to improve sales productivity, customer engagement and people development and will work closely with HR and our brand partners to drive engagement and development at all levels to help our people to continue to create transformative impact. This role is responsible for all aspects of Finance training for both internal MBFS colleagues and the Retailer Network (Car & Van).
Main Accountabilities
Governance and Certified Person Support:
- To fulfil the SMF3 Sales & Marketing Director’s discharged responsibilities, maintain Origin Spreadsheets (cascade of Directives) in order to evidence:
- good customer outcomes when seen through the lens of the four Consumer Duty principles;
- ensure completion of mandatory training and regulatory knowledge to be able to fulfil role under the FCA regulatory regime.
Training Techniques
- Create and deliver exceptional learning experiences using the latest learning trends, tools and techniques to cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. You will have the ability to manage multiple projects across a range of stakeholders, both internally and across the network. This may also include the training of third parties and our Appointed Representatives (ARs).
Regulatory Practice
- Adherence to FCA regulation and guidelines, ensuring good customer outcomes when seen through the lens of the four Consumer Duty principles.
- Support the ongoing compliance of the FCA’s FIT2.2 requirement of Competence and Capability, to ensure all staff are trained to a sufficient standard, including learning through our mandatory training programmes and cascade of regulatory knowledge.
Training Design
- Develop and design a variety of engaging training course content to cover various mediums including digital learning experiences in line with business need. Where required, deliver online classrooms to the desired standard, continually seeking to improve and develop the quality of delivery through evaluation and observations.
Training Materials
- To have a good understanding of the learning cycle and suitable digital solutions as well as competency using a variety of IT software, including Microsoft applications and e-learning authoring tools (Rise and Evolve). Ongoing management of all eLearn material as part of our mandatory training schedule, to ensure all content is updated in adherence to legislation changes.
Training Competency
- Run competency-based assessments in order to identify behavioural gaps from front line staff, to define new programmes to deliver by utilising design skills and knowledge. Develop actions plans for lowest performing quartiles to improve performance. Roll-out of companywide initiatives that impact all functions, such as Consumer Duty & Vulnerable Customer training.
Monitoring
- Ensure ROI on training is measured to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of training delivered. Support the transition to BAU by supporting ‘on the job’ training with observing, measuring and monitoring learners. Develop non-classroom training materials and handouts as required to support learning.
About You
- Sufficient experience of training, coaching, upskilling others with the ability to uncover a learning need and translate into action.
- Strong team player with sound understanding of the captive finance industry in the UK.
- Strong customer focus delivering good customer outcomes.
- Robust knowledge of the regulatory landscape and FCA handbook.
- Knowledge and experience of digital solutions to enable learning, with the ability to research and to remain up to date with best practice.
- Ability to maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Excellent commercial awareness across the business.
- Confident when delivering training to a wide variety of audiences.
- A high degree of organisational and project management skills.
- Organised self-starter, able to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
