We are now seeking a highly experienced HR Director to join our EMEA Talent team in London. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on the Regional Leadership Team, balancing strategic partnership with hands-on HR leadership. This role will be supporting our Ads, Comms & Marketing functions.
This position is also part of the EMEA Talent leadership team together with other leaders working across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Inclusion & Diversity, Compensation & employee programs, Talent Tech & Operations and other Regional HRBP’s. This role will report to the VP, Talent EMEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding and application of the Culture: Develop a deep understanding of the Netflix business and culture, serving as a role model and advocate for the company's values
- Excellent communication skills: Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Convey complex information clearly, concisely, and with influence.
- Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as the functional lead for all HR-related topics and partner with senior business leaders, regional Talent teams, and global HQ (US) to translate business goals into HR strategies and people priorities. Build strong, trusted relationships across EMEA and global talent leadership.
- Organisation Design: Apply deep expertise in organization design and operating model planning. Develop and tailor structures aligned to business, regional, and local needs. Support strategic decisions on work location strategy and organizational scaling.
- Consistent Employee Experience: Collaborate with HRBPs and Global Business Practices (Talent Acquisition, I&D, Talent Management, HR Operations) to deliver a cohesive employee experience across markets. Ensure alignment and consistency of the Netflix people processes and practices philosophy.
- Regional Connector: Partner closely with functional HRBPs and GBP teams to plan, prioritize, and execute key talent initiatives across the region. Ensure effective communication and alignment between regional and global efforts.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams and US stakeholders.
- Navigate complex organizational dynamics and influence decision-making to drive HR initiatives.
- Organizational Health: Assess employee sentiment and diagnose organizational health issues. Provide coaching to people leaders to improve team effectiveness and overall engagement.
- Complex Case Management:
- Lead the management of employee relations matters—including performance issues, terminations, and leave cases.
- Partner with Employment Legal and Employee Services teams to ensure compliance and high-quality case handling.
Profile/Experience
- Experience working in a highly matrixed, global organization, and the ability to navigate complex structures is essential.
- Significant experience of working in an HR Leadership role. Also experience leading HRBP’s across multiple functions and/or countries.
- Strong understanding of both business and HR concepts, including problem-solving skills, judgment, critical thinking and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Inclusion and Diversity and the ability to apply it effectively within the organization.
- Capability to influence stakeholders and prioritize tasks and initiatives effectively.
- Proficiency in project management and execution skills to drive HR initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience in coaching and consulting in a high-performance culture.
- Possesses intellectual curiosity and brings valuable insights to the team and business.
