Role: Community Lead
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced community leader (10–15 years’ experience) to build, steward and scale a curated leadership network.
This role will be responsible for driving long-term strategy, strengthening member engagement, managing advisory relationships and ensuring the overall health and relevance of the community. The Community Lead will operate as a high-ownership individual contributor, working closely with leadership, events and brand teams to deliver a structured, multi-year engagement roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Direction & Roadmap
- Translate the existing vision into a clear 1–3 year growth and engagement plan.
- Define annual priorities, participation models and measurable success metrics.
- Ensure the community evolves into a credible, influential and sustainable platform.
Community Architecture & Engagement
- Design and manage a layered participation structure to deepen involvement among core members while maintaining broader network connectivity.
- Develop a year-round engagement calendar including curated roundtables, closed-door forums and leadership interactions.
- Drive repeat participation and active member contribution.
Advisory Council Management
- Establish and manage a small, credible Advisory Council.
- Structure periodic advisory engagements and integrate insights into programming and direction.
- Position advisory members as ambassadors of the community.
Communication Strategy
- Own the overall communication strategy and cadence for members.
- Define tone, relevance and engagement objectives across email, messaging platforms and other member channels.
- Work closely with the brand team to ensure consistent, value-led communication.
- Build structured feedback loops and maintain high responsiveness to member needs.
Platform Development & Infrastructure
- Lead the development of a structured digital community platform over time (member directory, event calendar, content hub, sub-groups, data tracking).
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate platform solutions.
- Ensure systems are designed to support engagement tracking and long-term scalability.
Governance & Quality Control
- Define and uphold governance norms to maintain credibility and trust.
- Ensure participation standards and community guidelines are adhered to.
Performance & Metrics
- Establish dashboards to track engagement, community health and business metrics from day one.
- Monitor indicators such as active members, attendance, contribution rates, diversity and retention.
- Provide periodic reporting and forward-looking recommendations to leadership.
Commercial Alignment
- Support sponsorship and monetisation initiatives by clearly articulating community value and ensuring partner integrations remain relevant and credible.
Experience & Profile
- 10–15 years of experience in community management, leadership networks, membership platforms or ecosystem-driven roles.
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders (CXOs, founders, investors).
- Experience building structured engagement frameworks and communication strategies.
- Exposure to digital community platforms and member management systems.
- Strong written communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track and improve engagement metrics.
- High ownership and independent working capability.
