The Role
We are seeking a '
Talent Equity & Voice Lead (Maternity Cover)' to drive the strategic direction of equity, talent progression and employee voice across The Crown Estate.
Reporting to the Head of Talent, you will lead the enterprise approach to ensuring equitable outcomes across the employee lifecycle, embedding inclusive practices into talent, learning, performance and succession frameworks.
This is a highly strategic role, operating through influence and partnership, working closely with Talent Acquisition, Business Partners, L&D and senior leaders to shape outcomes at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and embed an enterprise-wide approach to equity and employee voice, ensuring consistent and credible outcomes across the organisation
- Shape and steward equitable design principles across talent, performance, learning and succession practices
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate bias or unintended barriers within talent systems and processes
- Lead the strategy for strengthening talent pipelines, focusing on internal progression, mobility and future workforce needs
- Own the design and direction of equity-focused programmes, ensuring measurable impact and fair access to opportunity
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition to align attraction, sourcing and assessment approaches with equity objectives
- Develop and deliver the employee listening strategy, including engagement, onboarding and offboarding insights
- Analyse and translate data into clear, actionable organisational insight, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
- Provide oversight of employee networks, ensuring diverse perspectives are captured and inform business decisions
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing decision-making and ensuring accountability for equitable outcomes
- Ensure insight-led actions are meaningful, proportionate and effectively delivered across the organisation
About You
- Strong experience in equity, inclusion, talent strategy or people insight within a complex organisation
- Proven ability to shape organisational approaches to equity and employee voice and translate strategy into practical interventions
- Experience influencing core talent practices such as performance, succession and development through collaboration
- Strong analytical capability, with experience translating data into clear insight and business action
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders on complex and sensitive topics
- A strategic thinker with strong judgement, able to prioritise what will deliver meaningful impact
- Comfortable operating through influence rather than direct control
- Passionate about creating equitable, inclusive and high-performing organisations
Qualifications (or Working Towards)
- Relevant experience in talent, inclusion, HR or people analytics
- Experience working with people data and insight tools (desirable)
- Background in organisational development, talent or inclusion strategies (beneficial)
