The Opportunity
We’re looking for a People & Culture (HR) Consultant to join our team. This is a hands-on people focused role supporting the full employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end-to-end HR service to the UK practice. Reporting to the UK People & Culture Manager, you will be the first point of contact to employees on HR topics, providing trusted advice and looking after HR related operations. The role combines HR operations, employee relations, performance support, employee engagement and strategic project work with opportunities to shape continuous improvement. The Role
In This Role You Will
- Act as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing clear and pragmatic advice on policies, processes, benefits and general people matters.
- Administer employee benefits, pensions, absence and leave records and support monthly payroll processes.
- Maintain accurate HR systems and employee data, producing regular insights and reports in collaboration with the Shared Service Centre and leveraging tools such as AI where appropriate.
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes including right-to-work checks, manage visa processes, coordinate background and security checks (e.g. DBS, BPSS).
- Support and advise on employee relations matters, including probation, performance, absence, wellbeing and hybrid working.
- Support the delivery of performance and reward cycles including goal setting, reviews, promotions and annual salary and bonus processes.
- Partner with leaders to deliver learning and development initiatives from coordination through to shaping local training offerings.
- Lead and support HR projects and initiatives including policy development, diversity & inclusion activities and employer branding.
About You
You will have:
- Proven HR generalist experience, ideally at Advisor/Consultant level within a professional services environment.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, and experience supporting Employee Relations cases.
- Experience managing end-to-end HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret people data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience and comfort working with HR systems, Microsoft Office tools and AI.
- Experience supporting or leading HR projects or initiatives is desirable.
- A CIPD qualification (or be working towards it), ideally.
