We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience in mental health settings to join us as a CAMHS Mental Health Navigator. This is a nonclinical role where you can make a real difference to children, young people and their families.
As a Mental Health Navigator, You’ll Work Closely With Our Clinical Teams To Help Ensure Families Receive The Right Support At The Right Time. Your Day To Day Work May Include
- Liaising with referrers such as GPs, families and schools
- Supporting referrers to access self help tools and online resources
- Contacting families for feedback after assessments
- Reaching out to families who may have been waiting longer than expected
- Providing practical support to clinical colleagues to help them focus on direct care
You’ll be fully supported by the wider team, and monthly supervision is provided.
As this is a new and developing role, there’s lots of scope to shape how it grows and to bring your own ideas and strengths. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and wants to contribute to improving children and young people’s mental health services.
If you’re compassionate, motivated and eager to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
- Liaising with referrers when additional information is needed to support safe and appropriate decision‑making.
- Building positive working relationships with wider services, including voluntary organisations and local authority teams.
- Working closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive journey for service users.
- Reaching out to families who may have been waiting longer than expected, offering information, reassurance and signposting where appropriate.
