As our HR Co‑ordinator, you'll be a key, front‑line member of the team, the person colleagues turn to for confident, empathetic, and accurate support throughout their employee journey. You'll use your growing generalist HR knowledge to provide timely solutions, guide employees through our people processes, and help create a consistently positive experience for everyone.
This is a role where attention to detail genuinely shapes outcomes. You'll maintain high‑quality people data, produce insightful reports, and manage key trackers that keep our People function compliant and insight-driven.
You'll also play an active part in bringing our People initiatives to life from Learning & Development to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, to Wellbeing. Your coordination will help ensure these programmes are meaningful, accessible, and engaging for all colleagues.
You'll work closely with a supportive, collaborative People team who will guide you, listen to your ideas and give you the space to take ownership and grow. You'll build trusted relationships across the business, share your insights to help shape future improvements, and contribute to an excellent, reliable People service that we can all be proud of.
The scope of this role is broad and varied. You'll support around 280 people across four Focusrite companies based in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia with occasional involvement in other Group entities.

Duties:
HR Support & Employee Experience
- Act as the first line of HR support, managing the shared People Team inbox and triaging or resolving queries in a timely, accurate manner aligned with our policies and culture
- Provide routine guidance to employees and managers on HR processes, performance matters, absence, wellbeing, and other day‑to‑day employee topics, championing a positive, inclusive employee experience in every interaction
- Co-ordinate the people forum. This entails general meeting prep, including taking and assigning actions, and producing public comms
- Role‑model our values and contribute to initiatives that strengthen inclusion, belonging, and the overall employee experience
Data, Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date employee data across the HRIS and People Team folders, ensuring changes affecting payroll are logged correctly and on time
- Produce core HR reports (e.g., right‑to‑work, probation, sickness, holiday) and maintain People trackers, logs, and portals
- Support data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness through diligent record‑keeping
Learning & Development
- Co-ordinate the delivery of L&D initiatives, including liaising with external providers, promoting programmes, and tracking participation.
- Administer and support ongoing development offerings such as LinkedIn Learning, Development Days, mentoring, learning agreements, and apprenticeships.
EDIB
- Assist with the delivery our EDIB (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging) programme, ensuring it is an effective driver of positive change within the organisation, and promotes a culture of equity, diversity, inclusivity and belonging
Wellbeing
- Co-ordinate and implement an effective wellbeing provision, both through the direct actions of the People Team, and by providing managers with clear and consistent guidance that empowers them to make choices that support and promote wellbeing within their teams
Payroll & Operational Support
- Prepare and process monthly payroll changes accurately, collaborating with the People Advisor, Head of People and Payroll Manager to ensure timely and correct submissions.
- Co-ordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including HR inductions, system access, documentation, and exit interviews, ensuring a seamless and insightful experience
- Administer employee benefits, ensuring smooth enrolment, changes, provider communication, and accurate resolution of employee queries
- Support continuous improvement by reviewing processes, identifying efficiencies, and contributing ideas to enhance People Team operations
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar HR/People role, with degree-level education or CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent (or willingness to work towards this)
- Working knowledge of HR best practice, HR operations, and UK employment law
- Able to handle sensitive information confidentially and exercise sound judgement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening, and ability to build trusted relationships at all levels
- Highly organised, flexible, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working with moderate guidance
- Good data analysis capability with intermediate Microsoft Excel ability
- Detail‑focused, adaptable, quick to learn, and emotionally intelligent
