PURPOSE:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Advisor to help shape how we find, engage and hire exceptional people who align with our purpose, mission and values.
This role reports to our Talent Manager. You will manage the full hiring life-cycle for our London Office roles and support the recruitment for Retail positions across the UK, US & EU. Acting as a brand ambassador, sourcing exceptional talent and ensuring every candidate’s experience is fair, inclusive, and engaging.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source and attract high-quality candidates using a mix of channels including direct attraction, job boards, social media, talent pools, networking and creative outreach strategies. This role may from time to time require travelling to our stores and relevant recruitment events
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for roles, from initial brief, interviews to offer, providing expert guidance to hiring managers and a seamless hiring journey for our candidates
- Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) by embedding inclusive practices at every stage of the recruitment process and advising/training hiring managers on best practice.
- Strengthen our employer brand by representing us as an employer of choice supporting campaigns, events and storytelling that highlight our culture, values and life at Fred Perry
- Provide guidance to stores regarding their usage of the applicant tracking system, regularly checking that the candidates’ movements through the recruitment process are mirrored on the system
- Manage the new starter admin process by liaising with People Operations, using our HRIS system, ensuring all new hire documentation and compliance checks are completed before employees join the business.
- Lead and coordinate internal partnership programmes, including emerging talent initiatives such as mentorship schemes and internship schedules
- Manage temporary and freelance worker requisitions, ensuring all temporary workers are issued a contractual agreement
- Arrange and support exit interviews, ensuring timely scheduling and accurate documentation of feedback
- Support the People and Development Lead with training requests and other administrative projects such as booking training dates, checking in with apprenticeship cohorts and liaising with apprenticeship providers
- Support the on-boarding process by coordinating with hiring managers to ensure new starters are ready to join their teams.
- Follow up with managers during 3-month probation period of London office employees
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of inclusive hiring practices, recruitment policies, procedures and best practice
- Good understanding of relevant employment and recruitment legislation
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships, influence and coach hiring managers on process, employer branding and candidate experience
- Experience using a variety of sourcing methods (headhunting, social media, talent pools, networking)
- Understanding of how to represent and promote employer brand through candidate interactions and social presence.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment technology tools.
- Proven organisational skills with attention to detail, ability to prioritise workload, time management, problem solving and innovative thinking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
HOURS:
We actively encourage our teams to have a good work/life balance and so we are pleased to offer flexible working shifts at Fred Perry HQ. Our core shift hours are from 10am – 4.30pm and so employees can choose to start and finish early, or start and finish late. (i.e. work 8:00am-4:30pm, or 10:00am-6:30pm etc). We also have 30-minute early finish on Fridays.
As we continue to work in a more flexible way, the Head Office acts a brand hub, where we can all connect and collaborate with one another. This role is a mix of office based (London) and remote working. We will expect the employee to come into the office regularly for face-to-face meetings and to work alongside their team on collaborative projects.
