The Role
Are you passionate about Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and ready to play a key role in driving standards forward across a dynamic organisation?
We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven SHEQ Coordinator to support our Head of SHEQ on a 6-month contract, maintaining and improving our Integrated Management System, ensuring we not only meet but exceed our legal and client obligations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced environment where you will be central to shaping a strong safety culture, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple sites and suppliers. The role will also include occasional ad hoc site visits (typically a couple per month) to support audits and compliance checks.
About the role
In this varied and hands-on position, you will work closely with the Head of SHEQ to support compliance, audits, reporting and training across the business. You will play a key part in ensuring our systems, processes and documentation are robust, up to date, and effectively embedded across teams.
You will also act as a vital link between internal teams, suppliers and clients, helping to maintain high standards and ensure everything runs safely, smoothly and in line with ISO and CDM requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and development of the Integrated Management System and associated ISO accreditations
- Assist with internal and external audits, including site inspections and supplier due diligence
- Carry out occasional ad hoc site visits (typically a couple per month) to support compliance monitoring and audits
- Monitor and maintain key documentation including CPPs and RAMS, ensuring SLA compliance
- Track and report health and safety KPIs, producing monthly dashboards and insights
- Support the investigation and closure of non-conformances raised by clients or auditors
- Maintain and update the training matrix, ensuring all employees complete required training on time
- Coordinate health and safety input within procurement and supplier approval processes
- Contribute to health and safety presentations, workshops and internal communications
- Help maintain and update the SHEQ intranet page and internal resources
- Promote and support a positive health and safety culture across the organisation

About you
You will bring:
- Proven experience or strong understanding of Health and Safety within a similar environment
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- Experience of internal auditing
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, including client and supplier interaction
- Strong decision-making ability and a confident, proactive approach
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
