Capital Markets
Mubadala Capital’s Capital Markets team focuses on sourcing, structuring and executing debt financings for our funds and portfolio companies across our investment strategies, as well as manage bank and private credit lender relationships across the firm.
What will you be doing?
Mubadala Capital is currently seeking a highly motivated individual for a 6–12-month internship within its Capital Markets team in London. The primary responsibilities of this role include providing support in:
- Analysis and structuring of debt financing transactions, including bank loans and private credit solutions
- Financial analysis and debt modelling, including cash flow assessments and capital structure reviews
- Transaction execution through preparation of lender materials, term sheets, reviews of long-form documentation and coordination with internal teams and external counterparties
- Conducting market and industry research to support financing decisions and internal updates
- Portfolio monitoring, including tracking financing performance and covenant compliance
- Assisting portfolio company finance teams in managing reporting and lender related obligations
- Preparing presentation materials and analyses for internal stakeholders
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge in debt capital markets, leveraged finance and their application to private equity
- A minimum 1-year prior experience in leveraged finance, private credit, investment banking, consulting, or a related private equity role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in financial modelling, particularly in the context of debt modelling of LBOs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- High standard of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus but not essential
- Intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, a proactive, self-starting mindset
