About the role:

As a member of the Client Services team, you will receive commercial exposure to all aspects of the business and expert working across our client services, legal, operations, and finance teams. You’ll manage real client engagements, draft and review commercial contracts, and work directly alongside experienced City-trained lawyers — all while building the commercial judgement and professional networks that will set you apart when you enter practice.

You will own and be accountable for the following key duties/activities:
Delivering an effective engagement strategy for consultants
- Assisting with the review and suitability of new Obelisk consultant applications
- First point of contact for newly onboarded consultants to ensure they are work-ready, that CVs and Obelisk Profile are up to date and that they are briefed on OS processes and support.
- Assisting with day-to-day contact with consultants, ensuring systems are updated with communications.
- Helping to ensure that consultants comply with Obelisk practices such as timesheet completion, invoicing etc.
- Helping to create weekly marketing content to advertise available job applications and news/articles to consultants
Matching and finalising jobs and overseeing to completion
- Working closely with the Client Team when a new job is created to understand client requirements and criteria for matching.
- Matching consultants to new roles, preparing proposals to clients, arranging interviews , briefing consultants ahead of interviews and collecting post-interview feedback
- Working with the Legal Team to complete contractual steps such as drafting and reviewing MSAs, ADFs, and umbrella schedules.
- Answering client and consultant queries and ensure consultants are onboarded to jobs in a timely manner.
- Managing in role consultants and client relationships through various tasks such as regular check ins, assignment extensions, timesheet reminders etc.
- Liaising with the Finance Team to ensure consultant timesheet and invoices are submitted promptly and accurately.
Looking after Obelisk consultants
- Managing day to day contact with consultants, ensuring systems are updated with communications.
- Ensuring that reference and vetting checks have been completed and profile is up to date and CV uploaded.
- Maintaining mailing lists for in-role and on-boarded consultants.
- Monitoring the pool of consultants to ensure that work histories and CVs are up to date, non-active consultants are archived, in compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Organising and participating in consultant events.
Legal support work
- Support the COO/ Legal Counsel to manage contractual onboarding of clients and consultants and contractual arrangements for each assignment.
- Manage contract tracker database with details of contracts and bespoke clauses.
- Coordinate requests for AWR (Agency Worker Regulations) information.
What are we looking for?
- Aspiring lawyer having completed the LPC or SQE.
- Excellent relationship-building skills – you are energised by working with people and take genuine pride in the experience you create for them.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, the legal profession.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and a growth mindset.
- A minimum 12-month full-time commitment.
