JOB TITLE: DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES, TRAINS AND CRUISES

Role Overview:
As Divisional Director of Human Resources for Belmond's Trains and Cruises division and as part of the Division Leadership Team, you will shape the people strategy across our growing global business, aligned with business objectives. You will establish strategic partnerships across the Trains & Cruises division, as well as with Belmond Global functions and other divisions. You will build a culture of proximity while driving organisational performance through people-focused initiatives.
You will manage and guide our divisional HR teams, partnering closely with the Senior Vice President and the Division Leadership Team to deliver all HR initiatives in line with Belmond's strategy. This pivotal role demands a leader who can drive HR strategy, foster talent growth, and ensure compliance within a dynamic luxury travel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering and Organisational Transformation: Develop comprehensive HR strategies that align Belmond's vision with the division's needs and ambitions. Implement agile organisational models that support business growth and complex local realities. Drive an HR data-driven culture by seeking efficiencies in systems integration, using key HR indicators to measure impact, and embedding AI opportunities where relevant.
Strategic HR Leadership: Lead and develop HR teams, overseeing processes and initiatives such as Employee Opinion Surveys, Performance Management, and Diversity & Inclusion. Drive HR strategy, implement global HR programs, and manage the divisional HR budget.
- Reward & Care: Manage the division's reward strategy in partnership with the Global Reward team, covering salaries, benefits and the working environment. Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation and compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Talent Management: Establish and lead recruitment and hiring practices to attract, retain, and develop top talent, including Senior Management and Executive-level candidates. Co-lead talent frameworks, performance management, and succession planning.
- Learning & Development: Own and drive the L&D strategy for the division, ensuring the rollout of global programs and the implementation of Belmond's core HR/L&D processes. Develop and mentor HR and leadership teams.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Serve as a primary contact for employee relations, manage compliance issues (including Speak Up investigations), and ensure adherence to governmental regulations and Belmond's HR Company Standards across all business units.
