Salary: £50,000
Location: London or Liverpool, Hybrid/Remote.
Hours: Full-time fixed term contract until October/November 2027 (depends on start date)
About The Role
Our Diversity and Inclusion Specialist takes a leading role in supporting colleagues across the whole organisation to delivery our Diversity and Inclusion strategy. Focused around three areas: improving the experience of our colleagues, embedding equity into all the work we do, and building a more equitable and inclusive profession. As a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist, you will drive initiatives that empower our members to enhance their inclusion and equity skills while nurturing and expanding our internal processes.
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Expert knowledge of equity, diversity and inclusion principles and practices, including a strong understanding of the Equality Act 2010
- A proven track record of driving change within departments through strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build credible relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including volunteers, senior officeholders and external partners
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams with a diplomatic approach to managing competing interests and priorities
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects and programmes independently with multiple objectives and timelines
Desirable
- Experience completing Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs) or similar
- Accessible content development for web
- An understanding or interest in the built environment.
